1926 to 2026: The Circle Completes
Exactly one hundred years ago, in 1926, Dr. Carter G. Woodson established Negro History Week. He knew then what we are proving now: that a people who do not know their history are a people who can be easily erased.
As we stand on the eve of February 2026, we are celebrating the The Centennial Shift: 100 Years of Rewriting the Future. But for Blaque & Bloom, this isn't just a look back. It is a strategic pivot toward the horizon.

The State of the Dream
The recently released State of the Dream 2026 Report shows a sobering trend in economic regression for our community. The "safe bets" of the past century—corporate loyalty and public sector stability—are dissolving.
The centennial is our wake-up call. We are moving out of the era of "Performative Inclusion" and into the era of Structural Sovereignty. We are no longer asking for a month of recognition; we are commanding a century of ownership.
The Architect’s Role
The next 100 years will not be built on the approval of others. They will be built on our own lanes—our own media, our own green energy, and our own intellectual archives.
We honor the 1926 vision by becoming the 2026 Architects. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for.
